None Shall Intrude: Descent is a free card game for PC developed by Aeterna Ludi. It's a deck-building adventure set in a dark fantasy world and has a unique gameplay twist that has players take on the role of a power raid boss tasked with defending realms from those who seek to intrude. 

Similar to Gloomhaven or Inkbound, None Shall Intrude: Descent boasts highly tactical battles that take place on tile-based battlefields across multiple locations. It also serves as a prologue to the None Shall Intrude game, giving players a glimpse of what they can expect from the full-fledged version.

Roles reversed 

None Shall Intrude: Descent takes the popular boss raid mode included in RPGs, turns it into its own thing, and lets you experience becoming a raid boss yourself in the form of a Chaos Incarnate. Venture across the land as you face all kinds of would-be heroes looking to challenge you and demolish them to showcase your power and prove your dominance over them. 

Level up to unlock more cards and talents to customize your character. Accumulate talent points on an expansive talent tree that lets you customize your skill set to deal with various enemies and situations. On top of that, you can still grow stronger through three phases and unlock latent Boss Mechanics. This system lets you augment your skillset to utilize the power of the elements. 

Every region you conquer rewards you with powerful relics that you can use to enhance said elements to increase their effectiveness against enemies. Now, in its current state, there is still more work to be done with game balance as you are quite underpowered. As for the full version itself, there's no specific date for when it will come out, so you'll have to wait a while longer.

On the other side 

All in all, None Shall Intrude: Descent offers a nice preview of a game that employs a unique premise and has players switch sides and become villains. It's a clever concept that is held back by game balance issues. Despite that, it's intriguing enough to warrant a try and experience it for yourself.
