NoMerge: Disable the GitHub Merge Button

NoMerge is a simple Chrome extension developed by gamerpotty that provides users with the ability to disable the GitHub merge button on any repository. This extension is designed for users who have their own merge policy and prefer to merge through their CI/CD system to trigger necessary events.

To use NoMerge, simply go to GitHub.com and navigate to any repository where you want to disable the merge button. Click on the NoMerge extension and add the domain to your own NoMerge list. Once added, whenever you visit a pull request within that repository, NoMerge will automatically disable the GitHub merge button. It will be displayed in bright red with a message, serving as a visual reminder that manual merging is not desired.

NoMerge offers flexibility, allowing users to remove a repository from the NoMerge tracked list if they no longer wish to disable the merge button. Simply go to the URL that was originally added, click on the NoMerge extension, and select "Remove from the NoMerge List". This will remove the repository from your list, and the extension will no longer disable the merge button on pull requests within that repository.

NoMerge is a free Chrome extension that provides a convenient way for users to replace the GitHub merge button and avoid accidental merges. It offers peace of mind for those who prefer to follow their own merge policies and streamline their workflow.
