Master settlement and survival in this strategy game

Night is Coming is a strategy game that plunges you into a haunting fantasy world inspired by Slavic folklore and the rugged landscapes of Eastern Europe. As the leader of a desperate group of survivors, your job is to build and grow a settlement, gather resources, and train your people to face the relentless horrors that emerge with the night.

Every decision matters—whether it’s teaching crafts, preparing for battle, or deciding when to abandon your hard-earned home in search of safer lands. Like Frostpunk, Night is Coming focuses on survival but here, the threat is rooted in myth and darkness

Build, adapt, survive

In Night is Coming, you step into the role of a leader tasked with ensuring the survival and growth of your settlement. Your success hinges on managing scarce resources like food, clothing, and shelter. You’ll also assign settlers with tasks, such as farming, crafting, and exploration. Each settler is unique, with individual skills and needs, and their morale directly impacts their ability to endure hardships.

As your settlement expands, so does the danger. You’ll construct and upgrade buildings like houses, workshops, and barracks to improve efficiency and fortify defenses. The nights become longer and more perilous, with portals unleashing creatures like Ghouls and Werewolves. To survive, you’ll need to train specialized warriors, develop strategic defenses, and use magic to protect your people and weaken your enemies.

By gathering resources like Spirit Energy and Darkness Shards, you can research new technologies, unlock powerful spells, and craft advanced gear. Exploration reveals rare materials and unpredictable events, while the escalating threat of the Darkness forces you to adapt and innovate. Keep in mind that the game's intricate mechanics may present a learning curve for casual gamers. Additionally, being in Early Access means some features may change as development progresses.

A promising strategy game

In summary, Night is Coming promises to deliver a captivating mix of survival, strategy, and resource management. Its unique mechanics, such as settler individuality and the ever-growing threat of the Darkness, create a dynamic and engaging experience. While the learning curve may challenge casual players, the game’s depth and atmosphere make it worth the effort. As it's still in Early Access, expect more fine-tuned features in the upcoming full version.
