نهج البلاغه is a compilation of sermons, letters, and short sayings of Imam Ali (AS), collected by Seyyed Razi in the late 4th century AH. Renowned for its content and eloquence, it is titled "Brother of the Qur'an." Arab literati have praised the eloquence and rhetoric of Nahj Al-Balagha. The book is categorized into sermons, letters, and aphorisms. Imam Ali exhorts people to follow divine commandments and avoid prohibitions in many sermons, while advising rulers in some letters to uphold people's rights.

Some have questioned the attribution of Nahj Al-Balagha to Imam Ali, but many Shia scholars and some Sunni scholars like Ibn Abi al-Hadid al-Mu'tazili consider this attribution accurate, believing Seyyed Razi merely compiled these sayings. Several Shia scholars have written numerous books on the authenticity of the statements and words in Nahj Al-Balagha.

Translated into 18 languages, various explanations and commentaries have been written on Nahj Al-Balagha, with some estimating up to 300 titles. Particularly after the Islamic Revolution, Nahj Al-Balagha gained significant attention, leading to the authoring of numerous books, articles, and theses. It has been claimed that Nahj Al-Balagha is a constant presence alongside the Qur'an in Shia households today. Additionally, conferences and seminars on Nahj Al-Balagha have been held by various organizations. A specialized field called Nahj Al-Balagha has been developed at the master's level, training many educators to promote its concepts.
