A protagonist in a decayed world

Necrophosis is a premium horror game with macabre graphics that look straight from the works of Polish artist Zdzisław Beksiński. As the protagonist, you embark on an adventure in a haunting world where every corner is pervaded with death, mystery, decay, and revelations.

Strong, intriguing narrative

Set in a surreal, post-apocalyptic world plagued with the titular curse, Necrophosis follows the journey of a newly awakened protagonist who finds themselves cracking puzzles, encountering decay-afflicted, Lovecraftian beings, and uncovering the rich secrets that lie within its dismal landscapes.

The game’s deep narrative and worldbuilding are its strongest suits, with thought-provoking poems and character interactions creating a sense of intrigue and discovery for the player. Conversely, the combat heightens the tension as you explore its eerie dungeons and ominous lands.

Minor fixes and gameplay tweaks

The latest Necrophosis patch introduces several important fixes and improvements. Bug fixes include resolving a camera issue in Chapter 2's Worm Trypophobia Puzzle and correcting the Oppressive Intellect achievement tracking, with players needing to revisit all four spines to unlock it. Level streaming has been adjusted to reduce load times in Chapter 3, especially for lower-end systems. For stability, a new Texture Memory Budget video setting and minor collision tweaks have been added.

A surreal horror experience

Overall, Necrophosis is a fascinating title with a touch of surrealism and Lovecraftian themes to evoke a sense of dread and fear among players. Its deep worldbuilding and tense combat further solidify this upcoming title as a must-play for horror fans.
