Nayiriboard is a free iPhone app developed by Serouj Ourishian that revolutionizes typing and spellchecking in Armenian. This utility and tools program allows users to type and spellcheck in Armenian within any app on their iPhone. With a comprehensive vocabulary and support for both dialects of Armenian, Nayiriboard is a must-have for Armenian speakers.

The spellchecker features an impressive 150,000 word lexicon and over 5 million inflected word forms. It supports the inflectional rules of both Western and Eastern Armenian, ensuring accurate and reliable spellchecking.

In addition to the spellchecker, Nayiriboard also offers a user-friendly keyboard layout. All Armenian letters, punctuation, and diacritical marks can be found on the main keyboard layout, making it easy to type in Armenian. Furthermore, double-tapping the space bar adds an Armenian full-stop and space, and automatically starts the next sentence in uppercase.

While the initial release of Nayiriboard focuses on traditional (classical) Armenian orthography and offers a Western Armenian keyboard layout, future versions are already in the works. These future releases will support the reformed (Soviet) Armenian orthography widely used in Armenia today, as well as offer alternative keyboard layouts, including Eastern Armenian and Phonetic.

Privacy is a top priority for Nayiriboard. The app does not collect, use, save, or have access to any user data outside of the keyboard. Although Nayiriboard has access to what users type while using it, no data is saved or transmitted outside of the user's phone, nor is it shared with third parties.
