Nature - Oscillator is a multimedia application developed by Alexander Zolotov for the iPhone. It offers a unique and immersive sound experience by translating the visual information from the world around us into sound using a spectral synthesis algorithm. The app utilizes the Virtual ANS engine, a software simulator of the renowned Russian synthesizer ANS.

The program continuously reads the image from the device's camera and interprets it as the spectrum of the sound. As you move the camera, the sound changes accordingly, allowing you to create dynamic and evolving compositions. The app also provides easy control over the scanning curve, including the amplitude, type, and speed.

To use the app, simply start it and you will immediately hear the sound. By moving the camera, you can explore different soundscapes. In case you encounter any issues with sound, reducing the Quality parameter in the app menu can help.

Changing the scanning curve is straightforward. Adjust the amplitude by touching the screen and sliding up or down. Control the speed by touching the screen and sliding left or right. Use the slider at the top of the screen to select different types of scanning curves.

Additionally, the app allows you to record any sound you create by pressing the REC button on the right side of the screen. Capture your unique compositions and share them with others.

Nature - Oscillator offers a captivating and innovative way to interact with sound, providing a truly immersive experience. Whether you are a musician, sound artist, or simply curious about exploring the connection between visuals and sound, this app is a must-try.
