Narcosis is an action-packed survival horror game developed by Honor Code. It is set in the pitch-black depths of the Pacific Ocean, where players take on the role of an industrial diver stranded on the seafloor. With limited tools and low light, the diver must find a way to the surface before running out of oxygen and losing sanity.

The game's storyline is influenced by unconventional horror and narrative-driven games, rooted in reality, but steeped in the surreal. The player must survive hostile waters, using a knife, flashlight, and flares to fend off nightmarish flora and fauna. High-stress situations accelerate oxygen intake, distorting sight, sound, space, and time, increasing the tension and fear factor. The survivor's account unfolds in inexplicable ways alongside the player's journey, keeping the player engaged and immersed in the game.

The game's primal fears of darkness, confinement, and isolation take on new levels of immersion when experienced in VR. The game's developer, Honor Code, consists of a team of experienced developers whose collective resume includes games and series such as Assassin's Creed, Dance Central, Metal Gear Solid, Remember Me, Republique, The Silent Age, and Silent Hill.
