Namaz is Arabic word which means to pray. This word is used in the Quran to mean, “The (proper) prayer”. In Quran, Allah says to his followers:

“The prayer is given to the righteous, that they may praise Allah, that they may remain devoted to him, and that they may stand in his place (infinitely). Those who have been given much, they shall not be humble in the sight of others. Indeed, Allah is proud of them, and he likes the humble.”
