The National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) is implementing the National AIDS Control Program in India through 36 HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Societies. The app, ‘NACO AIDS’, helps people living with HIV/AIDS to access information on a variety of topics, including how to identify someone at risk of HIV infection, how to identify an HIV-positive person, how to stay safe when having sex, how to manage one’s health, how to look after one’s children, how to find help in case of an emergency, and many others. The app also helps people to find information on how to protect themselves from the virus, and how to deal with the side effects of antiretroviral therapy (ART). It provides access to a range of free, online learning material for people living with HIV/AIDS.
