My Talking Angela 2 is a free casual mobile video game that lets you play with a popular virtual kitty. Developed by Outfit7 Limited, this 3D simulation game is the sequel to My Talking Angela and features the lovely virtual pet cat Angela once more. 

Similar to My Talking Tom 2, My Talking Angela 2 is one of the several installments to the successful Talking Tom & Friends franchise. It’s highly similar to its predecessor in terms of features and the differences mainly lie in the interactive items, mini-games, and such. Take note, however, that its free license means ads frequently popping up.

The Talking Tom & Friends franchise is a kid-friendly media series that features virtual anthropomorphic pets you can take care of and even talk to. Finding success in its mobile games and eventually expanding to TV shows, it’s well known for its social interaction feature—wherein the games can repeat whatever was said by a player in a modified voice using their device’s mic.

This feature returns in My Talking Angela 2—and almost works automatically as long as the microphone is picking up a sound. Here, you are once again in charge of taking care of the white cat Angela. She’s characterized to love traveling, singing, fashion, and dancing, so the mini-games and main gameplay mechanics revolve around these. However, her main needs include hunger, hygiene, and sleep—which require manual input.

However, despite the fun and easy gameplay, there are some drawbacks to the app. For one, ads play quite frequently as you finish mini-games and tap icons. After reaching past a certain level—with the highest up to level 99—the available activities don’t get expanded. Additionally, there’s no option to tweak the microphone settings so Angela will constantly try to mimic sounds, even if they’re just background noises on your end.

Easy to pick up

Overall, My Talking Angela 2 is a great sequel to follow up My Talking Angela and is great for both new and old fans. It offers all-new items Angela can use and mini-games that you can play. However, it’s not exactly the best game to stick to in the long run. You’ll tend to run out of new stuff to play with after a while, eventually making it boring.
