The Mumbai Flood App is an experimental rainfall forecasting and flood monitoring system developed by the Mumbai Flood Experiment team. It aims to assist Mumbai in dealing with its annual flood challenges by providing real-time water logging information to the public. This initiative, supported by HDFC ERGO and in collaboration with MCGM, offers hyperlocal rainfall forecasts based on global forecasting systems and AI/ML models.

The app features widgets on the Home page displaying hourly forecasts for the next 24 hours and daily forecasts for three days, sourced from MCGM automatic weather stations. Additionally, the project includes the installation of nine water-level monitoring stations in flood-prone areas of Mumbai, offering real-time waterlogging updates during the monsoon season.
