Msone is a free Android application designed to provide Malayalam subtitles for foreign and Indian films. Launched in 2012, it aims to bridge the language gap for Malayalam-speaking film enthusiasts who wish to enjoy a wider range of cinema. The app initially focused on classic films but has expanded to include subtitles for contemporary Indian films, including Tamil releases, responding to user demand.

The platform operates on a community-driven model, relying on the collective efforts and goodwill of its contributors. It offers SRT files of subtitles without distributing or sharing film copies. With over 50,000 followers on social media and support from local film societies, Msone has become a vital resource for movie screenings across Kerala, fostering a love for cinema among diverse audiences.
