Mother Russia Bleeds, developed by Le Cartel Studio and published by Devolver Digital, is an independent beat 'em up game set in an alternate version of USSR in the eighties. The government is turning a blind eye to widespread crime, and the protagonist becomes eager to get revenge after their entire community becomes drug addicts. The game has a dark twist with the drug called Necro, which causes horrible hallucinations as the main character starts taking it themselves.

The gameplay is inspired by classic beat 'em up games like Streets of Rage and Double Dragon. Players advance through levels divided into multiple sections and must defeat every enemy they encounter to progress. Boss fights are held at the end of each level. The players can use a variety of items like pipes, knives, bottles, and pistols. One of the defining features of the game is the health regeneration system, where players can pump Necro out of their enemies' corpses and inject it into themselves to regenerate health or become a berserk that has much more strength and speed. The game can be played solo or in a four-player co-op.
