Scape and Run: Parasites Mod - Minecraft is a free video game utility that allows you to add more dangerous enemy mobs to your Minecraft world. Developed by Dhanantry, this survival horror mod elevates your mob-fighting experience with all-new enemies that actually threaten the environment and all living things in your world. 

Similar to the Mo’Creatures Mod for Minecraft, Scape and Run: Parasites Mod offers a wide range of new and exciting creatures. However, this mod caters to hostile creatures instead and has a specific theme that ties all available mobs. Take note that you need Minecraft Forge preinstalled.

Purge the infection

Minecraft is a 2011 sandbox video game created by Markus “Notch” Persson and developed by Mojang Studios. In it, you can explore a blocky and pixelated procedurally-generated 3D world. The main game mode has you surviving each day by gathering resources and defeating enemies. There’s also a multiplayer mode and a creative sandbox mode. The huge success of the game led to several mods created for it.

One of these is Scape and Run: Parasites Mod, which expands the list of hostile enemies you can encounter. It adds over 10 parasitic-type creatures, as well as the infected versions of the vanilla mobs. What’s unique about this mod is that it has an infection system that pretty much terrorizes your in-game world. Infected creatures will continue to aggressively attack and infect innocent creatures aside from you.

Once the infected reach a certain number of kills, they’ll also evolve and merge with other parasites to become an even more powerful parasite. These higher-level mobs can evolve even further, as well. Plus, there’s a new enemy spawner that can grow and potentially turn the environment toxic if not defeated quickly. The horror this mod brings to your playthrough is further heightened by the enemy models’ unique designs.

A new kind of challenge

All in all, Scape and Run: Parasites Mod - Minecraft is a great addition to your collection of Minecraft mods—especially if you want to liven up the type of creatures that you’ll encounter in your generated worlds. While it will specifically require Minecraft Forge to even work, that’s a small price to pay when this mod really delivers on the creepiness and challenge that an infestation-themed mod can offer.
