Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a free, action-adventure game with an open world, based on the Lord of the Rings franchise. It is the fourth title in the series, following the previous games, The Hobbit: Battle of Bilbrey and The Hobbit: An Adventure in Middle-earth. The player will control the character of Talion, the captain of the Gondor, who has to save the world from the Uruk, the world’s greatest evil. The world is divided into three regions, Northland, Eastland, and Southland, each having their own climate, terrain, and wildlife.

The player will have to fight against the Uruk and their allies in order to save the world from destruction. The enemies include Uruk, Iorrus, Dallar, and other Uruk warlords. Each region is also occupied by several enemy warlords.

The player will have to complete quests in order to gain experience and power.
