Microsoft Minesweeper is one of the classic puzzle games for Windows PCs. The browser version of the game has been reimagined for the younger generation and comes with a revamped interface. You can play this browser game using a touchscreen or a keyboard and mouse. Your job is to flag mine spots and uncover squares with numbers written beneath them.

Microsoft Minesweeper requires you to be logical and thoughtful while uncovering empty squares without clicking on hidden mines. Once you’re able to uncover the safe squares on the board without triggering a mine, you win the game. The top right-side corner of the board displays a timer. Try to beat your own score every time you play the game.

How’s the gameplay?

In this puzzle game, each square comes with a number that indicates how many mines are hidden in adjacent squares. This crucial information can be used to flag potential mines with the right-click button. Using the left-click button, you can easily uncover secure squares. If you’re not sure about a square, you should right-click on it twice to set a question mark.

This game requires you to think logically. For instance, if a square displays the number 1, it means there’s only one mine adjacent to it. If you’ve already opened other adjacent squares but one, you can easily flag it as a mine. The same is true for other numbers.
