Metal Gear Solid 3 HD for Shield TV is version of MGS3 that has been adapted (ported) to work on a Shield TV. Infiltrate enemy strongholds, take out guards, and work your way through the story and the many boss fights.

Cleverly rendered graphics from PS2 to Shield TV

This game is a port of the game MGS3 (Metal Gear Solid 3) in HD (High Definition), which means the game has been altered from its original console to work on the Nvidia Shield, which is also known a Shield Android TV. MGS3 works on this Android TV-based digital media player in the same way it does on other consoles. It is a third-person shooter where you still use stealth as a primary weapon, and assault weapons when/if you are discovered. The graphics look a lot smoother, which has the odd effect of making character’s skin texture look similar to the cartoon characters from the Toy Story movies. However, it still retains the fine-line and high definition outlining, even despite the fact that the textures themselves seem to have been smoothed over and blended a little more than in the originals.

Still a Metal Gear Solid game

This version of MGS holds true to the franchise’s habit of convoluted storytelling and odd plot twists. It is far better than MGS2, and the HD graphics make the game look better than it did on the Playstation 2. The game doesn't punish players who take an aggressive gameplay stance, it simply makes the game harder in terms of progressing quickly. It is a great game, and has been ported onto Shield TV very well. It has crashing problems during loading screens, but it is the same on PS2, and MGS2 had the same issues too.
