Metal Detector: A Tracking Extension for Chromebooks

Metal Detector is a tracking extension designed to assist administrators in locating lost or stolen Chromebooks. Developed by jpenn, this free add-on falls under the category of Browsers, specifically Add-ons & Tools.

The purpose of Metal Detector is to provide administrators with valuable information about the device's current user, internal IPv4 & v6 addresses, serial number, location information, and session details. This data is then sent via POST requests to a configurable URL at customizable intervals.

With its ability to track Chromebooks and provide administrators with crucial information, Metal Detector is a valuable asset for maintaining security and locating lost or stolen devices.
