A standout feature of MelodyBud is parameter-locking, enabling individual customization of step randomization values for creating intricate melodies. Users can easily enter this mode by tapping a step's number, turning both the step and control knobs orange. Exiting this mode is as simple as tapping the step number again.

With support for over 40 scales and real-time scale changes, MelodyBud offers versatility for on-the-fly sequencing adjustments. Its AUv3 plugin allows scale changes through AU parameters and enables modulation alongside other parameters. Additionally, the standalone version integrates Ableton Link for seamless synchronization with other compatible apps.
