Mega Man 11 is a 2D action platformer game developed by Capcom for the PlayStation 4. It is the eleventh game in the Mega Man franchise and designed in the vein of classic 16-bit 2D platformers. The game follows the protagonist, Mega Man, as he fights against evil robots controlled by Dr. Wily, who has created the Double Gear System, a device that can increase the powers of robots by pushing them to the limit.

In Mega Man 11, the player controls Mega Man in a 2D environment, running through levels and defeating eight unique Robot Masters that serve as bosses. The Double Gear System not only serves as the game's plot but also works as a game mechanic. It allows Mega Man to access two additional skills: the "Speed Gear," which slows time down, and the "Power Gear," which increases attack damage. However, the use of the Double Gear System is not safe and can overheat Mega Man.
