Medieval simulator about blacksmithing

Medieval Blacksmith is a premium simulation PC game developed by OGO Play. It's a Medieval fantasy simulator that lets players step into the boots of a novice blacksmith. They will craft all kinds of weaponry, from swords and spears to legendary gear imbued with magical powers and properties.

Similar to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Medieval Dynasty, Medieval Blacksmith takes place during the revolutionary yet tumultuous period of the Middle Ages. It offers a grounded and gritty experience during a time when coin dictates your lot in life, and each weapon they create has a unique story to tell.

Of mastery and killing tools

Medieval Blacksmith takes place in a fantasy world during the Middle Ages wherein you will assume the role of an unnamed novice blacksmith living in a feudalistic society wherein status and wealth are everything. Learn your craft from scratch as you take on jobs and requests from various clients wanting a sharp and robust piece of steel for protection or more destructive purposes.

You can craft 17 types of weapons in the game, from daggers to broadswords and two-handed spears. However, designing them is as clear cut as it seems as they entail various considerations, including length, thickness, the kind of ore you'll use, and other factors. Then, there are the more intangible aspects like design and aesthetics that will also contribute to the outcome of your work.

Be perceptive to what your clients really "need" based on the stories and their situations. Your decisions matter and will affect the town and its people in various ways, for good or bad. That said, the writing and dialogue are poorly done, which will put off some players who want a good narrative. Also, the gameplay will have you grind quite a lot to get anywhere and progress.

Hammer on

All in all, Medieval Blacksmith is an intriguing experience that goes beyond just crafting weapons but also offers a narrative that revolves around your profession and the effect your work has on the town and its people. The writing could be better, and the gameplay requires plenty of grinding. If you don't mind that, this is still worth checking out.
