Matthew Henry Bible Commentary is a six-volume set that provides a comprehensive study of the Bible. Originally written in 1706, this commentary has been used by famous evangelical Protestant preachers such as George Whitefield and Charles Spurgeon. The commentary is primarily exegetical, dealing with the scripture text as presented, with the prime intention being explanation for practical and devotional purposes.

The author's reputation rests upon his renowned commentary, An Exposition of the Old and New Testaments, known also as Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible). The commentary covers the whole of the Old Testament, and the Gospels and Acts in the New Testament.
