The game begins with Sheppard and his squad of Marines facing a massive group of Reapers. If they fail to stop them, the Reapers will destroy the Earth. But if they succeed, they will be able to save the world.

In order to save the world, they must defeat all of the bosses that they come across. These bosses include giant Reapers, armored trucks, and more. But the squad is not alone. They will also have to deal with the squad of enemies that come with them, such as the Hunter and the Stalker.

The game has a good story. The story is about the war between the humans and the aliens.
