MalO simulates SCP-1471, an app in the series. Users who download it receive unsettling images featuring MalO ver1.0.0. These images escalate from appearing in places recently visited to more intrusive placements, such as behind them or in reflections, until users visualize it in real-world settings, especially in their peripheral vision.

To replicate the SCP-1471 experience, this app lets users generate photos with MalO ver1.0.0 in their current location using Google Street View data. Selfies with the villain can also be generated. However, because the app uses Google Street View for imagery, these photos do not accurately reflect immediate surroundings.
