The Makes Cents Teen app comes with the Makes Cents Mastercard Prepaid Card, which is the first of its kind in Ireland, designed for children aged between 8 to 18 years old. Parents can apply for and control up to four children's cards and transactions in one handy app. With this app, you can review your child's transaction history, turn on/off ATM withdrawals, top up your child's card using a debit or credit card, and temporarily lock your child's card if it has been misplaced.

The Makes Cents team has set up automatic blocks to discourage pre-teens and teens from purchasing inappropriate goods such as alcohol, cigarettes, or online use, such as gambling.
