Magic Reds ViewFinder is a digital directors viewfinder app that provides a precise framing preview for the real camera/lens combination you'll be shooting with. Designed for iPhone and iPad, this app is a valuable tool for professionals in the filmmaking industry during preproduction.

With Magic Reds ViewFinder, you can simulate the field of view of cinema digital cameras or lenses, helping you visualize the exact framing and composition of your future shots. The app allows you to select the camera from a menu and adjust the focal length of the lens using a wheel.

In addition to framing, Magic Reds ViewFinder also offers the ability to apply commonly used color presets (LUTs) to the live picture, bringing you even closer to the final shot. This feature allows you to preview the color grading of your footage and make informed decisions during preproduction.

The app also provides options for locking exposure and turning on/off autofocus while taking photos, giving you better control over the captured images. You can set the camera to work in constant autofocus mode or temporarily lock the focus. Additionally, you can tap the live screen to focus on specific objects, activating the focus-locked mode.

Magic Reds ViewFinder supports various cameras, including Helium 8K, Gemini, Weapon 8K, Scarlet-W, Weapon Dragon, Epic Dragon/Mysterium-X, Scarlet Dragon/Mysterium-X, and Red One. It also allows you to select the aspect ratio of the frame guide overlaying your image.

To enhance the functionality of the app, you can activate additional settings and turn off advertising by subscribing to the Premium Features in the "About the App" menu. This subscription offers turned off ads and additional options for frame guides, optical adapters, anamorphic indices, and more LUTs.

Please note that Magic Reds ViewFinder does not turn your Apple device into an external monitor but operates as a standalone tool.
