Madárhatározó is the first-ever bird identifier application in Hungary. Jointly developed by the Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Association (MME) and the Wolf Puppies Youth Association, the app provides assistance in identifying nearly 367 of the most common bird species found in Hungary. The bird identification process is made easier through searching by shape, habitat, and color.

One of the new features of the app is that it shows the birds based on their frequency in the hit list, and species that are not typical for the given season are indicated separately in the application. The app also contains a bird lexicon, where you can find descriptions, illustrations, and sounds of all the bird species in the app. Additionally, users can upload occasional birdwatching data to help the Bird Atlas Program of the Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Association. Lastly, the app includes a fun game that tests how well you know the most common birds in Hungary.
