Post-apocalyptic survival game with vehicle combat

Machine Mind is a premium action game for PC from developer Chudo-Yudo Games. In this sci-fi survival adventure set in a post-apocalyptic world, players must fight to survive in the aftermath of a global catastrophe. Having lost their bodies, they will transfer their consciousness to mobile machines to help them build bases and defend against threats.

Similar to games like FUMES or Crossout, Machine Mind features thrilling and deadly car combat sequences, in which players will build battle vehicles to fend off hostile enemies and attack various locations. The game also features base-building and tower defense elements in its gameplay.

Living machine

Machine Mind takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland after a deadly virus caused a nuclear war to erupt, leaving most of humanity dead or escaping to orbital stations. When your ship crashed, your consciousness was saved by an experimental program and housed in a special module, which can be transferred into machine rovers . Set off on a quest to uncover the mysteries behind the catastrophe

The core gameplay revolves around gathering resources for rover upgrades and building materials for your base and tower defenses. Employ various module attachments for different tasks, whether it’s for mining, building, or even battling enemies. Attack and occupy bases to reconstruct them as your own, and defend against raiders. Over time, you can assign rovers to automate tasks, so you can focus on exploration.

Explore a vast open map with multiple locations, each one with unique resources to mine, enemies to fight, and secrets to discover. Survive dangerous encounters and return to base with your haul. Now, Machine Mind does have its fair share of issues that still need fixing, most notable of which include the buggy driving controls, the erratic AI behavior, and some confusing in-game systems that need better explanation.

Good but flawed

To sum up, Machine Mind has some pretty fun and interesting things going for it, like the solid car combat, customizable rover modules, and engaging world exploration. That said, the glaring issues mentioned above negatively impact the otherwise good experience. Hopefully, they will be addressed promptly in a future update. Nevertheless, it’s still worth trying. Just manage your expectations.
