M3U8 Saver – Save Videos, from Quad Solutions, is an Android utility for capturing streaming content delivered via M3U8 and HLS playlists. It detects stream links, downloads segmented chunks, and produces standard video files for offline playback. Key capabilities include automatic segment merging, batch link processing, background downloads, and support for MP4 and MKV outputs in HD. The tool targets mobile viewers such as students, sports followers, and anyone needing reliable offline copies of live or web-based streams.

It turns playlist feeds into single, playable files on Android

The app is a specialist download utility that identifies M3U8 and HLS streams and assembles segmented media into common container formats. It supports output to MP4 and MKV, so saved files open in standard players. Because it runs on Android devices, the workflow keeps capture and conversion on the handset rather than exporting segments for desktop post-processing.

The paste-and-save flow handles multiple links and HD outputs

Downloading starts by pasting a playlist URL into the app's input area, then tapping save; the interface exposes batch entry so several links process in sequence. The tool selects the best-available quality, including HD, and queues items for background processing. Common mobile use cases include archiving webinars, recording live sports, and storing streamed lectures for offline review.

Onboarding is compact but expects a hands-on link workflow

The front end keeps actions minimal with a one-field paste area, yet users must supply an M3U8 playlist URL before saving. The app runs on devices with Android 5.0 or higher and adopts a lightweight design aimed at typical mobile hardware. For users unfamiliar with locating playlist addresses, a short preparatory step is necessary to gather links before capture.

Background processing and active uptake support larger or live captures

Background downloading and on-device processing let captures continue while other tasks run, and the tool can record live broadcasts for later viewing. Batch processing spreads downloads without constant supervision. The developer notes a focused, mobile-first design, and public metrics show broad niche use, indicating the app functions at scale for recurring capture jobs.

M3U8 Saver suits hands-on mobile viewers who archive streaming media

M3U8 Saver is a practical option for mobile users who need dependable offline copies of streamed content and who are willing to supply playlist links. Its active download base indicates consistent utility for repeat captures. Users seeking a purely automatic, browser-style recorder that finds streams without any link input may find the hands-on setup a drawback; for everyone else, it performs well for routine stream archiving.
