M-Pesa is a mobile financial service introduced by Vodacom in 2012 to allow subscribers to access a wide range of financial services.

How does it work?

You can use M-Pesa on the phone you already have and any new Vodacom-compatible device you own. The M-Pesa App allows you to transfer money using your phone number. Just select M-Pesa, enter your phone number and your M-Pesa account number, and you're ready to go. You can use it to pay for things like goods or services and pay later.

Once you make a payment, you are charged the cost of the goods or services you purchase.
