This makes the sound louder and more intense. If you prefer a more neutral sound, you can set the mid and high frequencies to the maximum. This makes the sound softer and more pleasant.

It also allows users to switch from the regular earbuds to the optional ones, and use the app to connect and use them.

It can also be used to locate lost earbuds.
