Imagine you were a reclusive artist with a childlike drawing skill and a flair for color. If you were, you could have created the backgrounds for Love You To Bits. It is a point and click puzzle game, and what separates it from others is its strange child-like aesthetic. There is a story, and it unfolds as you collect pieces of your robot girlfriend.

The level design is very pleasant and original

With Love You To Bits, you have to search the universe to find love tokens and parts of your robotic girlfriend. Search through planets, and discover new locations. Click the correct area to solve a puzzle or progress the game. Plus, there are things you can press just to make things happen, such as clicking on the alien characters that look like childish parodies of Star Wars characters. You spend your time searching for pieces of your girlfriend, but one of the cool things is that your character is very androgynous, so it is either a feminine male looking for his robot girlfriend, or a manly woman looking for her girlfriend. Contrary to what other reviews say, the aesthetic is not trippy, hippy or acid styled, this isn't the 60s and everything with lots of color shouldn?t be pigeonholed as drug related.

The story of love flung across the universe

There is a story woven into the game, and luckily the story is independently episodic, which means you can read different episodes in different orders and it still makes sense. Love You To Bits is a good example of how visual storytelling is supposed to work on tablet devices. The soundtrack is also attractive for people of a feminine persuasion. This is not a game for the hardcore male consumer or people embroiled in nerd culture.
