Loadout, developed by Edge Of Reality, is a third-person multiplayer shooter game that features outrageous cartoon gore and dark humor. The game allows players to customize their weapons and create their own playstyle. The Weaponcrafting system is extensive and players can create their weapons from scratch. Loadout does not have a class system, instead, players can define their own classes using their customized weapons.

The game features 4 competitive multiplayer modes and a co-op mode where 4 players complete missions which are divided into 5 or 6 parts, each with a different goal. The players are awarded loot boxes, in-game currency, or other items after each mission. To unlock all customization options or the best weapon modules, players can either grind the in-game currency or purchase it with real money. Loadout does not have any in-game paywalls.
