Al-Moubarak, the Arabic word for "the ascension," refers to the event when the Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven. It is also used to describe the event when the angel Gabriel came to the Prophet with the message that God was going to send him the Quran. This is the most important event in the history of Islam. It has been described in many different ways, the most popular of which is the story of the angel Gabriel.

In the Quran, the Prophet is told to have said: "Allah has brought me knowledge and wisdom, and He has taught me the Book and made me a firm believer in Him." (Surah Al-Bara'at, 277). The Prophet is also said to have been told by the angel Gabriel: "Recite the Book when you have knowledge of it. Indeed, God has made you a reader of the Book, and He will keep you from the wickedness and evilness of the devil. Recite the Book, for it is the truth." (Surah Al-Bara'at, 299).

The Prophet was also told by the angel Gabriel that he would be brought back to his people and would be a messenger for them. He was also told to say: "Recite the Book when you have knowledge of it. Indeed, God has made you a reader of the Book, and He will keep you from the wickedness and evil of the devil.
