Live TV & Sport is a free app that does pretty much exactly what you would expect from its name – it provides a live streaming service for a wide number of TV channels and sports broadcasting.

It is full of sporting channels that allow you to freely stream sports such as cricket, American football, baseball, snooker, soccer and boxing. What's more, the app offers a wide range of world news shows, entertainment programmes and even mainstream movies. The service now features live music streaming and there is no subscription fee to pay even after you have downloaded it. The makers claim to have the ability to stream BBC services, such as BBC Four and BBC Parliament, and they also have programming specifically aimed at children. You can search by genre, too, for example filtering for comedy shows. Alternatively, use it to seek out content from your country or region. All that you need to do is to sign in when you use the app to watch live television programming from across the globe.

Worth watching out for?

As a free app, there is little not to recommend Live TV & Sport but bear in mind that it only allows you access to free-to-air content from existing service providers. When streaming from a mobile device it will use up a lot of data so it is better when connected to broadband.
