Once the avatar is styled, the player can then negotiate a social life and play through some immersive stories. The social element of the game focuses on relationships with friends and romantic entanglements.

At its core, Life Makeover is close to being a casual/idle game, though the visuals in the game are of a higher quality. Fans of visual novels may also find Life Makeover entertaining, as it has much in common with that genre. The same could be said for dating simulators.
