Lies mal Küken - von der Silbe zum Wort is an Android app designed by jandorfverlag KG for children to learn to read words independently and intuitively. The app costs €2.29 and requires children to have knowledge of all letters. An annual license for one device can be purchased as an in-app purchase after downloading, and the app can be used offline.

The app is divided into 20 reading levels that progress differently, taking into account the task solutions. The requirements grow from level to level with the skills acquired. At the beginning, the children read syllables and later individual words. They practice successive and systematic reading of words with rare, difficult, and/or multi-part graphemes, such as ö, au, sch, and ei.

The app is designed taking into account the curricula of all federal states and Austria. In the "Settings" menu, users can adjust the app to show all words in syllable structure, display all syllables and words with capital letters only, and switch off the audition function of the terms. The app is also suitable for children with little knowledge of German thanks to its intuitive operation and the ability to have terms spoken to you.
