Letras Libres MéxicoEspaña is a magazine dedicated to literature, ideas, and political reflection. Founded in 1999 with the aim of creating a space where central topics of our time could be addressed with clarity and independence.

As the successor of Octavio Paz's magazine Vuelta, Letras Libres combines history with poetry, political reflection with literary analysis, and established authors with the most promising talents of Hispanic-American literature.

The first issue of Letras Libres was published in 1999, with the intention of carrying the spirit of Vuelta to the 21st-century reader. In October 2001, the magazine expanded its reach and established Letras Libres in Spain.

In addition to the print magazine, letraslibres.com was created as a digital archive of the print content and later developed into an independent web magazine with original articles and insights. Since September 2013, Letras Libres has also offered a mobile platform, compatible with Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.
