The game is a tribute to one of the biggest names in the Spanish videogame industry, David Santos. The game features retro aesthetics and a chiptune soundtrack created by Vic Hernand.

Leopoldo Manquiseil is a game with a charity side, as 75% of the income obtained will go to David Santos. The game is an action platformer with 24 levels and a lot of gameplay mechanics. Players can jump, double jump, dash, climb walls, and shoot their way through the levels. There are also special levels in Flappy Bird and Pang style, and two challenge levels that offer a simpler and a harder way to play. The 24 levels are structured in three groups of eight, with the last level of each group being a final boss.
