As with other games in the wider LEGO Star Wars franchise, it combines the characters, themes, location, music, and lore from the Star Wars universe. It also boasts LEGO brick-inspired aesthetics and the humor of LEGO-based visual media.

The game has obvious comparisons with the mainline LEGO Star Wars games like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. It also shares similarities with Club Penguin.

There are simple puzzles, while plenty of collectibles in the game allow players to customize their character. While the online social components add to the fun, fortunately, the game offers full support for offline play. In addition, devices do not require an online connection to start loading the game.
