البيان is a daily comprehensive Arabic newspaper that was founded in 1980 by a decree issued by the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. It replaced the weekly newspaper "Akhbar Dubai". The newspaper's first issue was released on May 10, 1980, and it became the fifth newspaper to be published in the country and the first Arabic newspaper to specialize in one, two, and then three to four pages for money and business. It is the only Arabic newspaper that prioritizes economic affairs, presenting them in a separate tab on the local affairs section.

In 2012, Al Bayan managed to achieve the first place on the list of the most attended Arabic newspapers on social media, issued by Forbes Middle East magazine. The app contains the main page, which allows users to choose its sections from the menu on the right, as well as news within the sections and the page for each news item. It is possible to access other news from any of these pages.
