Lawnfeed is a companion tool for Lawnchair Launcher. With it installed, it enables Google Feed and Google Now in your Lawnchair Launcher and even shows the search bar animations. It is a separate app from Lawnchair Launcher that you need to uninstall and reinstall every time you update Lawnchair if you’re getting the updates from APK Mirror and not from Google Play Store. 

What a Bad Pun

Despite choosing our brand of smartphones, sometimes you’ll want to change things that are default on your device. There are apps out there that can give your phone’s system the new makeover you want, so it’s not too hard to get what you need. However, most of them require your phone to be tampered with— the proper terms are ”jailbreak” for iOS devices and “root” for Android devices—so it won’t always be an easy process. Things are different for the Lawnchair app, though. An open-source app developed by volunteers, Lawnchair is a root-free Google Pixel Launcher that will give your Android device all the features found on Pixel, including flexible customizability, without forcing your phone to become rooted. 

The Best Pixel Launcher

With Lawnchair, you can get Android Oreo shortcuts and notification dots, various customization options on icons and your dock, and even the option to blur almost anything on your interface. These features are found by default on Google Pixel devices, as well as the Google Now page. However, Lawnchair Launcher doesn’t include it. You’ll be needing a separate download for a tool called Lawnfeed. To get it, you have to go to APK Mirror, download its APK, and install it to integrate it with Lawnchair. It is quite a hassle when Lawnchair is already on Google Play Store, and the developers could have just made it as a toggle option rather than something separate. However, if you want your Google Feed, it’s a simple enough task to do.

Nice But Only That

For an add-on app, Lawnfeed isn’t really that enticing of a tool. It only performs one specific task that could have otherwise still been integrated into its base app. Its existence honestly begs the question of why it was even set up this way so tediously. However, if you badly need a Google Now page for your Lawnchair, nothing’s stopping you from getting it with this small app.
