Landsbankinn's Kort app is a mobile wallet that allows you to store both debit and credit cards and use your phone to pay for purchases. The app works with all card readers that accept contactless payment, both in Iceland and abroad. Once you've downloaded and registered your cards, you only need to unlock your phone using your fingerprint, face ID, or passcode and hold it up to the card reader to pay. No need to open the app itself.

The app incorporates all modern and up-to-date security measures, such as authentication that affords the same security as entering a PIN. All the benefits your cards confer, such as Aukakrónur or insurance, are included in payments using the Kort app in your phone. Withdrawal limits remain the same, as do all card functions. The app is only available to Landsbankinn customers with debit and/or credit cards issued by the Bank.

To use the app, you must follow certain security rules in unlocking your phone, such as having an active locking function and granting the app access to your phone's security settings. The passcode must be at least 4 digits long. These requirements ensure the safety of the payment information registered in the app, and payments cannot be made unless these conditions are met.
