Kõnetuvastus is a browser extension for Chrome that allows users to dictate Estonian text into any text field. With this extension, users can easily and freely dictate Estonian text without the need for typing.

To use Kõnetuvastus:

1) Right-click on the text field and select "Dikteeri tekst antud tekstivälja" from the menu.

2) A window will appear, asking for permission to use the microphone.

3) Press the microphone button and start dictating. The dictated text will appear on the screen.

When dictating, keep the following in mind:

1) Speak clearly and at a moderate pace.

2) No need to pause between words.

3) You can dictate punctuation marks ("\".!?,:;") and line breaks (say "uus rida").

Kõnetuvastus uses server-based speech recognition software developed by the Phonetics and Speech Technology Laboratory at the Tallinn University of Technology Cybernetics Institute.
