Klaverjassen is a traditional Dutch card game, typically played by four players sitting opposite each other. It is based on a combination of Spades and Hearts. The game is played on a standard table with 4 players and 16 cards in each hand. The object is to score as many points as possible in the time allotted. Each player receives an equal share of the points, regardless of who collected them.

A variant of this game is played in 3 sets of 16 cards, which makes it a "mini-game" in the same sense as bridge, hearts, and spades. The cards in each hand are dealt and placed face down on the table. The object of the game is to collect as many points as possible in the first hand and to have the highest score in the final hand. The player (and partner) who has the highest score in the final hand wins the game. If the scores are equal then the game continues until one of the players has the highest score.
