Kirakira Slimes is a premium puzzle game for PC coming from developer Ether Dreams. It combines tile-matching and creature-collecting mechanics in its gameplay that has players collect all kinds of charming creatures and help them grow by combining those who fall under the same breed.

Similar to games like A Little to the Left or Unpacking, Kirakira Slimes serves up plenty of charm with its cute and lovable characters. The presentation is rounded out by vibrant visuals and a cartoon-like art style that fans of these types of relaxing games will like and appreciate.

Round and squishy

Kirakira Slimes is a puzzle game that basically combines match-three gameplay with creature-collecting mechanics. It features a slew of slime creatures that come in various shapes, sizes, and colors. You are tasked with collecting these cute blobs, of which there are currently 11 types of. You can level them up by combining them or even merging different slimes to create something new.

The core gameplay loop in this game revolves around combining two or more of the same type of slime to create a bigger one. Build up your score by increasing its size more and more until it becomes the Slime King. You have to be wary, though, since growing a particular type of slime will push others off the board and decrease your chances of getting more points.

As you combine and score more points, you will fill up your powerup bar which gives you a bonus ability that you can trigger at any point. There's also the hidden threat to the Kingdom of Kirakira that you will need to uncover. Do note that the game is still in Early Access, so development is ongoing and there are more things to come in future updates.
