KiloJ: AI Calorie Tracker, developed by himanshu.skb, is a mobile nutrition tool that simplifies daily calorie and macro tracking for Android users. The app accepts natural language meal entries and photos to derive calorie estimates and macronutrient breakdowns, reducing time spent searching food databases. It also includes water logging, weight progress charts, and barcode scanning for packaged items, offering a compact set of tracking tools. The interface targets health-conscious users and fitness-focused people seeking lower-effort dietary monitoring.

Natural-language and photo inputs replace manual searches

The app converts casual meal descriptions into entries using natural language processing, and it accepts typed or spoken phrases for fast logging. Photo-based recognition attempts to identify foods from images, and barcode scanning covers packaged items. Users can choose between voice/text, image, or barcode entry paths, which removes the need to navigate large food lists and shortens the typical logging flow for people who prefer quick entries.

Macro, hydration, and weight modules make daily trends visible

KiloJ provides a breakdown of protein, carbohydrates, and fats for each meal and displays weight progress with visual charts. A dedicated water tracker records daily hydration alongside personalized daily calorie and nutrient goals based on user profiles. The combination of nutrient totals, hydration records, and weight history supports routine adjustments for fitness plans or weight-management efforts.

Android-first availability and active maintenance simplify setup

The app is available on the Google Play Store and is designed to run on most modern Android versions, with regular updates for performance and compatibility. The developer is an independent creator focused on applying machine learning to practical health tools. Barcode scanning and camera-based inputs align with standard mobile device workflows, keeping installation and compatibility requirements familiar to Android users.

Community feedback highlights usability and AI performance

User reception frequently notes the time-saving nature of the interface and the AI's ability to interpret complex meal descriptions, making the app appealing to people who found manual counters too tedious. The interface is described as minimalist and clean to prevent burnout, which helps users adopt the app for everyday tracking. These responses indicate the tool fits routines when low-effort logging matters most.

A practical option for low-effort daily tracking with a precision caveat

The app is a practical option for health-conscious Android users who want quick, habit-friendly calorie awareness rather than laboratory-grade precision. Photo-based outputs are estimates, so confirm portions by weighing or using packaged labels when exact numbers matter. For users seeking straightforward, AI-assisted daily monitoring, the app fits well into a regular routine while requiring occasional verification for strict goals.
