Available on Xbox Series X|S and other platforms, the Anniversary Edition includes all 29 fighters and premium content such as the VIP Double XP Booster and exclusive holiday accessories. The base game remains free-to-play, featuring a rotating weekly fighter and various modes including Single-Player and Ranked play.

This update also introduces improved matchmaking for quicker match availability across platforms, optimization specifically for Series X|S consoles, and balance updates to refresh the gameplay experience. However, players should note that certain content from the previous Definitive Edition, such as developer interviews and classic games, will not be part of the Anniversary Edition. Existing owners of the Definitive Edition can still access this content even after its retirement.
