Just Cause: Mobile is a free action game that was developed by Square Enix for mobile devices. It is a title that's set in the same universe as the popular Just Cause series. It features some of its most iconic gear, as well as its fast-paced and over-the-top gameplay.

Comparing it to Just Cause 4 over at the PC side of things, Just Cause: Mobile takes on a different perspective, with a third-person, top-down view for its presentation and gameplay. It also introduces various other multiplayer game modes in addition to its main single-player campaign.

Just Cause franchise making its way to mobile

Just Cause is one of the most popular and long-running action-adventure games available for PCs and game consoles. Having made its debut back in 2006, the series released a total of three sequels that build on the thrilling and over-the-top action that it was known for. Fast forward to today, and the franchise has entered the mobile space with Just Cause: Mobile.

Just Cause: Mobile is set in the same universe as its PC and console counterparts, adopting a different top-down perspective. The result is a less immersive experience but is more suited for mobile gameplay. Thankfully, the iconic arm grapple and wingsuit have made the cut, which will make a lot of fans happy. Additionally, it provides the same fun and thrilling stunts and traversal.

Capitalizing on the mobile platform, the game also introduces various game modes that encourage playing with others, including 30-person competitive multiplayer and various co-op missions you can take on with your friends. The experience is far from ideal, though, as it's plagued with numerous bugs, ranging from visual glitches to more serious game-breaking issues. There is a lot of work to be done before it becomes playable.

The Just Cause series' first foray into the mobile space has not been a good one. Aside from the jarring shift to a new perspective, the game is just a buggy mess. It has too many issues that diminish the overall experience. The fun and action-packed gameplay are there, but as it currently stands, it's difficult to recommend it until its glaring faults are fixed first.
